Have you ever been to Birmingham,United Kingdom? Probably Not. I’m a self-proclaimed Brummie – only because I lived there for 3+ years. When people speak about England, everyone assumes that you are speaking about London. England has more to offer than just London (although London is the dopest city by far…).
However, if you are looking to explore England, then the 2nd largest city in England aka Birmingham aka Brum should be on your list. Birmingham Massive, second city and sister city to my hometown of Chicago.
In the past ten years, Brum has become more cosmopolitan. It offers a diverse array of restaurants, cuisines and nightlife. They have incredible cultural offerings in regards to museums and small art galleries. Hippies will love the offerings of Moseley. Anglophiles will love the City Centre and historic Edgbaston. It’s very close to Stratford-Upon-Avon in Warwickshire which is the birthplace of Shakespeare. Supposedly, Brum has more canals than Venice. … but most of all you can get a damn good prawn biryani, fish & chips, scones, eccles cakes and a Balti!
